Andersonville Midsommarfest 2016

Dream Big will once again be providing crafts and activities in the family section of Andersonville's Midsommarfest.  Join us on June 11th and 12th for family fun and opportunities to perform!  All performers and their families will receive free entrance to the festival. We will continue to update this page with more details.

After School Student Performance
All current After School Students are also invited to perform with us at Midsommarfest.   Students are learning 'Oh The Thinks You Can Think' in their spring session after school classes in preparation for their final performances.  Students from all of our schools are then invited to perform this together on the family stage Saturday, June 11th at 1:30 and Sunday, June 12th at 2:00.  Students wearing their Dream Big shirt will receive a coupon for free ice cream at George's Ice Cream and Sweets!

Share Your Talents On Stage!

Congratulations to our talent winners - Addison and Layla!  You can see the video submissions on our Facebook page.  Thanks to everyone who submitted their talents, we loved seeing what makes each and everyone of you unique and special!

This year, in honor of our Seussical Jr Production Camp, we want to celebrate those gifts and talents that make each of our students UNIQUE and SPECIAL!  All Dream Big students, past and present, are invited to submit a video of a solo or ensemble performance piece that they would like to perform on stage at Midsommarfest.

Talent Submission Instructions and Guidelines:

  • Solo or ensemble performance ideas include: singing, dancing, reciting poetry, acting out a monologue or short scene
  • Students may perform on their own or gather a group of friends to perform a talent together (all must be present at Midsommarfest)
  • Submissions must show entire performance and be no longer than 3 minutes
  • Submission videos should begin with the student's name (first name only), grade and a description of the talent.  (For example "Hi! My name is Maddie.  I am 9 years old and my talent is singing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'.")
  • If your child has a Dream Big t-shirt, have them wear it in their video.
  • Submissions should be e-mailed to info@dreambigperformingarts.com and must be received by May 13th
  • Winners must be available Saturday, June 11th and/or Sunday, June 12th during the hours of noon-4:30 pm. If you have a preference of days, please indicate that in the body of your email.
  • By entering this contest, you consent to your child's video being shared on social media and other Dream Big promotions.

We will be choosing three submissions to perform on the family stage of Midsommarfest on Saturday, June 11th and/or Sunday, June 12th (Times TBD) and will notify winners by the first week in June.
