Roald DahlInspired by the great works of Roald Dahl this full day camp will explore some of our favorite books, such as, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda and Fantastic Mr Fox. Sing songs, play games, make puppets, create backdrops, write poems and act out your favorite scenes from these incredible stories in this fun filled, magical, literary adventure. “So please, oh please, we beg, we pray, go throw your TV set away, and in its place you can install, a lovely bookshelf on the wall” Roald Dahl.

Full day camps enable our older campers to delve deeper into their Dream Big experience. We'll have more time to engage with all areas of the theatrical experience and develop all of our newly learned skills!

Before and After Care:

Dream Big offers the following add-ons to Camp for an additional fee (please indicate which days you would like in the comment section):

  • Early Drop Off ($10/day): 8:00am-9:00am.
  • Late Pick Up ($15/day): 4:00-5:30pm.
  • or

  • Early Drop Off Entire Week ($45/week): 8:00am-9:00am.
  • Late Pick Up Entire Week ($65/week): 4:00-5:30pm.
  • Location:

    Camps are typically held in Andersonville at First Free Church or the PH Theater. More details to come in your welcome camp email with confirmation of your room and building.

    What your child's day could look like:

    Full Day Sample Schedule

    • 8:45-9:00 am Campers arrive and are greeted at the front door
    • 9:00-10:00 am Physical, vocal, imagination, and ensemble-building warm ups
    • 10:00-10:30 am Drama activities focused on weekly theme
    • 10:30-10:50 am Recess and snack at the park
    • 10:50-12:00 pm Continue drama activities focused on weekly theme
    • 12:00-1:00 pm Lunch break at the park
    • 1:00-2:20 pm Work on ideas for end of week performance
    • 2:20-2:40 pm Recess and snack at the park
    • 2:40-3:40 pm Arts and crafts activities (Prop, set, and costume making)
    • 3:40-3:55 pm Closing games and clean up
    • 4:00 pm Parent pick-up
    End of Week Performance Details:

    At the end of each camp week, campers present a final showcase of scenes, songs, stories, games, and activities generated throughout their ensemble-building experience. Family and friends are invited to join us for an informal performance usually during the final 20-30 minutes of camp on our last day. Reminder invitations with exact times are emailed and sent home every Wednesday.

    Daily Camp Reminders

    Please have your child bring a water bottle and snack to camp each day. Campers will go to the park for snack and break time mid-way through each morning and afternoon. Often times we have tree nut and peanut allergies amongst our participants, so please be mindful of the food you send.

    Doors open 15 minutes prior to your camp start time. If you are running late, please contact your child’s teacher at the number provided in your confirmation email so they can let you in.
