Administrative and Education Coordinator Job Description

Roles and responsibilities for this position are broken up into three categories:

Administration: The Administrative and Education Coordinator will be responsible for the successful organization and logistics of camps and classes throughout the year.  This includes communication with parents, teachers and partner organizations to coordinate programs, complete registrations as well as oversee and manage all aspects of the workshop from start to finish.  This position will be mainly administrative and will require timeliness, efficiency and excellent organizational skills.  Other responsibilities such as transporting supplies to and from schools and community locations, bank deposits, assisting in marketing campaigns, attending fairs and festivals, and responding to company voicemails and emails will also be required.

Teacher Mentorship: This position requires the ability to guide and mentor teaching artists in curriculum development and classroom management. As Administrative and Education Coordinator, you would be responsible for checking in on new and existing teaching artists periodically to offer yourself as a resource and support in order to promote the most effective and successful classroom experience for teachers, students, parents and partner administrators. You would also observe and offer constructive feedback to teachers consistent with our mission, goals and culture in order to ensure quality control and support in every Dream Big class.

Program Development: This position will also include responsibilities in developing programming and curriculum focused on different themes and inter-disciplinary goals. Writing creative workshop descriptions, curriculum outlines to be used in grant proposals, and developing sample unit and lesson plans will be included as well.

This is currently a part time position (approximately 15-20 flexible hours a week) and will work from home.
