Andrew Marikis, Host and Co-Producer of Story Club South Side

Story Club SouthsideStory Club South Side is a non-fiction storytelling show that has featured performers mixed in with open-mic participants every third Tuesday of the month.

 Adam Archer in Ruckus and Lethal Action Force

Currently, Adam is performing fun improv shows weekly with his Harold Team, "The Ruckus", at iO Chicago.

The RuckusUpcoming shows: 

  • Monday, September 22 @ 10:30 PM in the The Harold Cabaret - tickets are $5 (FREE for iO students)
  • Tuesday, September 30 @ 08:30 PM in the The Harold Cabaret - tickets are $12 (FREE for iO students)

Vahishta Vafadari, Princess of Pure Reason

Vahista will be playing the Princess of Pure Reason in THE PHANTOM TOLLBOOTH by Norton Juster directed by David Catlin. The show is a part of the Chicago Playworks children’s series and is recommended for ages 7 and up. It is about a little boy, Milo, and his adventures through the magical lands of Dictionopolis and Digitopolis. The show runs October 7- November 15 at the historic Merle Reskin Theater in the loop.

Jill Olson and her Funny Bones

Jill Olson performs with Funny Bones Improv, and they're having a fundraiser in Andersonville  at Mary's Attic on the September 21st. All proceeds will go to improv performances in hospitals for sick children across Chicago.

Victoria Montalbano, Queen of England

Victoria will be playing the Queen of England in The BFG with Youth Company Chicago and Windy City Music Theatre. Performances are Sundays at 1pm and 3:30pm Oct 12 - Nov 2.TheBFG

THE B.F.G.:  Roald Dahl’s well-loved story of a Big Friendly Giant – the affectionate, inarticulate and well-meaning monster -  who snatches an orphan, Sophie, out of bed and carries her off to the land of the child-eating giants. Soon Sophie and her BFG are thinking up ways to get rid of the Fleshlumpeater, the Bonecruncher and the other giants who love to gobble up ‘human beans’….while developing a friendship and meeting an unusual cast of characters along the way – including the Queens of Sweden and England.

RUNNING TIME:  45 minutes

PRE-SHOW ACTIVITIES:  Come early to enjoy fun & educational activities in the lobby designed to immerse you in the world of the play.
