The Director will work with the Production Manager and report to Dream Big’s administrative team.

The Director should be able to demonstrate a record of success with previous projects and have at least two years of experience directing and four years experience working with children in a musical theater setting, on a scale equivalent to Dream Big (a sample of last year’s production can be seen here Annie Jr.)

The Director must aim for balance between the goals of allowing the child performers to have an enjoyable and memorable time while building confidence and self-esteem through the process, and producing an outstanding, high-quality production. He or she should be guided by the principle of 'strict kindness' and welcome time for learning, growth and exploration through the entire process.
