This is a list of all of the classes we offer at Chase Park, however, not every class or age group will be offered each session. Please refer to the Class Schedule above to see which classes are currently being offered.
Spotlighters
(2-3 years old)
This one of a kind class is designed for you and your child to explore dramatic play, creative movement, and music together. Have fun singing, dancing, playing games and more, while building upon your child’s natural creativity and imagination.

Mini Showstoppers
(3-5 and 4-6 years old)
Love to sing and dance? In this class, songs inspire creativity, dramatic play and, of course, DANCE! In addition to drama games that foster creativity, self-expression and teamwork, students will explore the joy of musical theatre classics. We’ll have fun singing and dancing to some of our favorite show tunes and share a sampling at an end of the session informal performance for family and friends.

Moving Stories
(3-5 and 5-7 years old)
Jump into a storybook and into character! We will read and act out stories with minimal props and unlimited imagination! We will also have lots of fun playing drama games that center around our stories’ themes. This class builds reading comprehension skills as well as fosters creativity, self-expression and teamwork.

Creative Drama
(3-5 and 5-7 years old)
In this class, students will have fun playing drama games that foster creativity, self-expression and teamwork and will act as a foundation for future drama activities. They will also work together to dramatize stories as well as create their very own. Creative drama activities will incorporate acting, music and movement. An informal performance of a student-created original show will culminate this ensemble-building experience.

Broadway Kids
(5-7 years old)
If you love musical theater, this class is for you! Come explore the foundations of theater with fun theater games, acting, improvisation, music and movement. This class encourages a positive self-image and helps students take risks on stage while building confidence on stage and off. An informal musical performance will culminate this ensemble building experience.

Broadway Bound
(7-11 years old)
This class builds upon all of the skills introduced and explored in Broadway Kids. Students in Broadway Bound will be challenged to create multi-dimensional characters who use musical theatre songs to genuinely express emotions and tell a story. Skills developed in this class will assist in audition preparation as well as build confidence for the stage.

Foundations of Acting: Training for the Young Actor*
(11-14 years old)
Work with a professional actor to develop the necessary skills to build upon your natural artistic talents. This class incorporates theatre games, improv, character building and more. Have a blast acting out scenes, performing monologues and working with friends to create theatre! A great confidence builder on stage and off.

Dream Big Improv Troupe*
(8-12 and 13-18 years old)
Get ready to act up! Improvisation is a fun (and funny) way to help develop characters and scene work by working together and thinking quick on your feet. Learn to make it up as you go along while you follow your creative instincts using improvisation formats that encourage imagination and teamwork. An informal performance of some of our favorite improvisation games and exercises will culminate this ensemble building experience.

Audition Prep Class*
(12+ years old)
Preparing a monologue for that next audition? Our staff of highly-skilled professional actors will share the ins and outs of auditioning as you build necessary skills to nail that next audition. Whether trying to get into a High School Fine Arts program or break into professional theatre, learn from the best to breathe life into your character and give you the confidence you need to give it your best shot.

Music Theater Performance Class*
(10-18 years old)
This class is a great way to prepare for that next audition or just build confidence singing in groups and independently. Have fun learning musical theatre songs, performing in front of each other as well as an audience and benefiting from group and individual vocal coaching.

Devised Theatre: Using Improv to Create and Perform in Your Very Own Play*
(10-13 years old)
In this class, students will collaborate with fellow actors to devise and create their very own script. Actors will have fun using improv formats and games to develop their story, characters and dialogue, while applying acting techniques to their scene work. *This class will meet for 1.5 hours each week and will culminate in a final performance of an original play.

Scene Study for Teens*
(13-18 years old)
Take your love of acting to the next level! Learn how to embody a character’s body, voice and imagination and play off other actors while working on scenes from famous plays. A professional acting teacher will help guide you towards the most effective choices on stage.
