Sr. Camp Counselor

Students entering 9th-12th grade are welcome to apply for internships with us during the summer. To apply, please fill out this form. Sr. Camp Counselor responsibilities include:
•Assist with drama games-lead with examples
•Create and help with set/prop/costume development
•Assist with set up for different activities
•Act as a leader for songs and dances for younger campers
•Lead warm ups and games with supervision (if desired)
•Aide in taking young campers for restroom/drink breaks
•Arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes late to help with set up/clean up and go over goals and planning
•Assist with supervision and play at the park during breaks

Jr. Camp Counselor

Students entering 5th-8th grades are invited to be a Jr. Camp Counselor for any camp geared towards 3-7 year olds. Jr. Camp Counselor’s receive a 50% discount for their assistance and their responsibilities include:
•Assist with drama games by leading with examples
•Help with story/show creation by supporting and enhancing the creative ideas of the younger campers
•Create and help with set/prop/costume development
•Assist with set up for different activities
•Assist with songs and dances
•Lead warm ups and games with supervision (if desired)
•Arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes late to help with set up/clean up and go over goals and planning

Location:

Camps are typically held in Andersonville at First Free Church or the PH Theater. More details to come in your welcome camp email with confirmation of your room and building.

End of Week Sharing Details:

At the end of this skill-building week, our trained junior camp counselors will have the opportunity to share what they have learned with YOU! Join the fun as we turn the tables and parents and friends become our campers. Dream Big Junior Camp Counselors will lead you in a simulated sample class session during the last 20 minutes of their final class. Reminder invitations with exact performance times will be sent the Wednesday prior to the last day of camp.

Daily Camp Reminders

Campers will go to the park for snack and break time mid-way through each morning and afternoon. Please send your child with a snack each day. Often times we have tree nut and peanut allergies amongst our participants, so please be mindful of the food you send.

Doors open 15 minutes prior to your camp start time. If you are running late, please contact your child’s teacher at the number provided in your confirmation email so they can let you in.
